I used to have Kaiser Permanente but now I'm on a union healthcare plan because my mom works at a grocery store. I asked them for the other drivers insurance info, but they said I would have to wait for the police report and it would include that information. They advised it would be available after 5 business days at a cost of $5.00. I think the information should have been made available immediately so I could have filed a claim with the other person's insurance company. I don't suspect they will get rich by charging $5.00, so I don't know why I have to wait for the info. I am concerned that the other person's insurance will question the delay in filing the claim. Is this normal? I would really like to get my car fixed as soon as possible and am frustrated that I have to wait to get information that I think should have been immediately available. The driver that hit my car admitted to being on heavy duty prescription drugs at the time of the accident, but said that wasn't the cause of the accident. They said they had a seizure and had a documented history of seizures (which makes me think they shouldn't have a valid license anymore). The police seemed suspicious, but said they wouldn't issue any tickets as long as the person agreed to go to the hospital for treatment of seizures. There were no injuries, but there was significant damage to several parked vehicles, and minor damage to several homes and other property that was hit . Thank you to all that answer.

I have a multicar policy with admiral at the moment. I have bought a vw van to drive for pleasure, not for work. I am selling one of my cars in the policy and am replacing it with the van. The car insurance runs out in december. What will I do? Will I have to pay more and not get any money back. You can't have vans in the multicar policy!

Hello, I am a 18 year old freshmen in college. My College is approximately 20 minutes away. Since I was very very busy with my studies, I was unable to get a car permit / Driver License. Now that I am at spring break, I am planning to take my permit test, and start driving, so I dont have to ask my father to drop me off at chosen locations. Right now, I am earning $11 an hour. I get about $320 every two weeks. Now I have heard from my friends that Since I am 18 years old and my parents will not pay for my insurance, It will cost me about $300 for insurance every month, $100 for gas, and about $500 for required checking for cars. As you know, for a check of $320 every 2 weeks, I will not be able to pay for my car insurance and gas. Now heres the question. What should I do? I mean, I really need a car and I need to think of a good strategy. so that I will be able to pay for my car insurance.
